Josh Spirek

Founder & Head of Operations

Josh Spirek is a current third year Double Bass student at the University of Western Australia, under the tutelage John Keene & Andrew Sinclair.

Josh has previously held the position of Principal double bass of the West Australian Youth Orchestra and is currently the Principal double bass of the University of Western Australia's Symphony Orchestra. Josh has also enjoyed performing with other ensembles including the West Australian Ballet, Cygnus Arioso, and the Fremantle Chamber Orchestra.

Josh has been fortunate to receive the UWA Delano scholarship, the WAYO Peter Moore scholarship, as well as the Wesley Uniting Church Scholarship at UWA. He is also a keen composer and conductor and was the recipient of the John Bates Prize for musical composition at Christ Church Grammar School in 2021. Josh is an aspiring young conductor and looks forward to working with a2. to create fun and engaging concerts!

Aiden Labuschagne

Founder

Aiden Labuschagne is an aspiring young oboist currently completing his Bachelor of Music at UWA, under the mentorship of Liz Chee.

 

Aiden has previously held the position of Principal Oboe with the West Australian Youth Orchestra and has participated in programs with the likes of AYO and Orchestra Collective. Aiden is very excited to be working on the a2. team to bring his creative ideas to life.

Charlotte Greenway

Head of communications

Charlotte is in her third year studying a Bachelor of Music at UWA on Double Bass, under the tutelage of John Keene. She was awarded a De Lano scholarship at UWA and has enjoyed being a part of the West Australian Youth Orchestra for a number of years. She also enjoys performance opportunities when they come around.

 

Charlotte is very much looking forward to working with the a2. team to create engaging opportunities for young musicians.

Bridget Hutchinson

Music Librarian

Bridget Hutchinson is in her Honours year studying piano performance under the tutelage of Graeme Gilling. She has a keen interest in many areas of the music world, from piano performance, to conducting, to music research and production. Bridget is delighted to be a part of a.2. and looks forward to future projects in store.
